Itโs that one day of the year when we tend to focus on what we want out of the other 364 days of the year.ย If youโre like me, you probably donโt set resolutionsโฆ but you might set intentions and garden goals.ย Itโs WAY less pressure having intentions and goals than resolutions!!! ๐
And for your growing season to FEEL successful, itโs all about making the whole process easy so you feel good and have fun in your gardenโฆ
Because your garden is not only a source of physical health, but mental and spiritual health too!ย Any garden goal is a good goal as long as it makes you happy, lights you up, and encourages you to get out there and GROW!ย ย Interested in Harvest Club to help you move forward with your garden goals? So glad you’re enjoying Stacey’s videos! She has also helped to set me and my garden goals up for success.
There is nothing wrong with having several goals in place! Happy to hear you are ready to go on your garden this year – I also tend to order my seeds early!
Love it!
Less work, water, weeding Nd. Chemical ,level soil Rake, spread weed and feed black plastic down, using a grass pluger, punch hole for seed or plant, water, wait ,take
I can never seem to settle on just one goal. For 2019, I would like to:
* Make a couple of raised beds for my yard and clear some trees so they will get enough sun.
* Start more plants from seed and put them outside early under a protected tunnel I set up last fall, to get a head start on the season.
* Work on setting up a small no till area that I can expand in future years.
* Get a couple of family members started with gardening by sharing seeds and starts and helping them set up a small garden space.
I may not get all of that done this season, but there is always next year. My first order of seeds came today, and even though the ground won’t thaw for another three months, I am ready to go.
Thank you so much for another great post. I have already achieved some micro goals thanks to you. After having a partial knee replacement in September, I decided that I would use large pots to plant my summer vegetables. We are enjoying fresh lettuce and beetroot and carrots and tomatoes are on the way too. But most of all, I find the pots manageable, so I am set up for success. Thanks again. I always get great advice from you Stacey. ๐
Thank you Stacey for your generosity in sharing, and your learning wisdom.
You have used a system that works, and I appreciate how you speak/convey that to me.
Really great video, thank you. It’s helping me to consolidate consciously what I do naturally. Now the planning begins in earnest.
My main goal is to spend less time in the garden growing as much as I can using the tips I’ve learned in our garden class. I plan to concentrate on the most productive crops such as all kinds of greens, carrots & herbs and some that are expensive to buy organic such as strawberries and sweet potatoes. I plan to have all my charts and garden plans ready, seeds ordered early and as much compost made as possible so I can jump right in when the weather is ready. My secondary goal is to replant my crops more often so I don’t run out of the basics like lettuce, carrots & beets.
Goal gopher proof the garden area. Mini goal. Learn how to trap gophers.
#1 Goal: I would like to grow an indoor herb garden, but will need to research the topic since I have never had one and at the moment I do not have a green thumb.
#1 goal: create all no til garden areas
Mini goal: start most of my own transplants for the garden
Large goal: Grow tomatoes (indeterminate, determinate, cherry, and grape) successfully this year.
Mini goals: 1. Buy seedling heat mat for starting tomatoes indoors. 2. Buy seeds for short (100 days) growing season.
3. Plan calendar–when to start seeds; when to plant seedlings outdoors.
Goal #1: Plan to garden closer to house…
Mini goal: Start indoor macro greens to eat…
Hopefully to start herbs from seed & cuttings, for culinary & medicinal use. Found a great lavender that survives in my clay soil. In the UK a seed company produces plants specially for different soil types.
Where is the transcript? (I’m sure I could read that in less than a minute instead of watching (anything) for 10 minutes.
#1 goal: design and build high garden work tables meant for growing seedlings in yard shared with a large, curious dog.
small goal:research work table designs, materials with out contaminating preservatives for outdoor construction.
#1 goal: Enrich the garden are I have to make it more productive.
Mini goal: Buy only organic seeds and start them early.
