Maximize Your Garden’s Potential with Sunlight
A thriving garden is not just about the seeds that you plant or the soil you use. It’s also about harnessing the power of sunlight. Sunlight plays a crucial role in nurturing your garden. It’s not enough for a growing space to “seem” sunny. This week’s featured blog discusses the importance of understanding this key element in your journey towards a successful vegetable garden space.

Dear Arti,
Question: My tomatoes are plentiful but staying green. Help! – Annette
Answer: Hi, Annette! That’s a great question!
The two most common reasons this happens is sunlight and temperature. Tomatoes need a minimum of SIX HOURS OF FULL SUN without any shade at all to ripen well. If you don’t have enough sunlight, your tomatoes will stay green for longer. And eight hours of FULL sun is more ideal. For temperatures, 68-77°F is the ideal temperature range for tomato ripening. If it’s outside this range, they will still ripen but might take longer.
I hope that helps, Annette!
