Do you know about the three C’s?
๐ Creativity:ย Mother Nature is so creative. Nature and creativity go hand in hand, and when we teach children to think about nature creatively, we open them up to so many paths towards growth and innovation. And children can learn to find answers using nature instead of using man made chemicals and pesticides.
๐ Confidence:ย Children naturally have confidence in themselves as problem solvers, and they have faith in the goodness and ingenuity of other humans. We can help their confidence grow by cultivating their curiosity and creativity, so they can approach lifeโs challenges with conviction.

About your Instructor:
Yield & Food Safety Disclaimer
We are never going to tell you that growing food is easy. It requires some elbow grease, knowledge, commitment, and a smile from Mother Nature in the form of favorable growing conditions. Grow Your Own Vegetables' programs are intended to help you manage the uncertainties of nature and improve your chances for a successful harvest, but you have to do the work to get the harvests. We can support YOU by giving great content, direction, and strategies that move you forward. Any resource budget numbers referenced on this site are estimates. Your local conditions WILL vary. We share these numbers for illustrative purposes only and like to believe that everyone can learn to grow food if he/she is really committed. The truth is that your yield is related to your experience and increases when you stick with it. Thanks for sharing this journey with us.

As an educator with over a decade of classroom experience, Meg knows that teaching begins with giving students the best tools & resources available as they explore their unique interests. Like many educators, the pandemic challenged her to expand her understanding of education & she grew passionate about structuring lessons for distance learning.
Beekeeping & gardening have taught her the importance of understanding yourself as part of nature’s ecosystems. She encourages her students to see themselves as lifelong learners, active creators of the future, and stewards of the environment. She believes that the greatest gift we can give children is modeling curiosity and joy in learning.
